Mono no aware (物の哀れ) is a Japanese concept that translates roughly to “the pathos of things” or the “bittersweet beauty of transience.” It describes the gentle, wistful sadness felt when realizing that all moments, people, and objects are impermanent, while simultaneously appreciating the unique, fleeting beauty of their existence.
To me, this is very reminiscent of certain belief systems within the Buddhist and Jain Dharma. I personally love this
